About

This page introduces the author and operator of the site.

What This Site Is

The 5GC Textbook is an online learning resource that aims to let you study the 3GPP-compliant 5G Core Network systematically, from beginner through to a practical, working level. Rather than being a summary of the specifications, it is structured with the top priority of being something you can "read and actually understand".

How This Site Is Written

Drafts are AI-assisted, but every page is reviewed, corrected, and expanded by the author based on hands-on field experience — nothing is published as-is. Each page is checked for technical accuracy and real-world relevance before it goes live.

Even so, this process cannot guarantee that every page is accurate or complete. If you spot an error, pointing it out via the contact address below would be a great help.

The Author

I've spent over 10 years at a global telecom vendor, working on the core network side (RAN is the bigger organization, but the core is my home). Father of two.

I'm building this site from knowledge gathered piece by piece in the field — and from my own early wish that a single, well-organized learning resource had existed when I was starting out. The goal is material that people learning after me can follow systematically.
